Does it actually keep soap dry?

Yes. The grooves hold the bar above the floor of the dish, so water runs off and air reaches the underside. It dries between uses instead of sitting in a puddle.

Will real wood get gross?

Not if it can dry, and it's built to dry. Rinse it when you clean the sink and let it air dry. Pine darkening a little over time is normal.

What sizes are the shapes?

Rectangle 5 × 3.5 in, Square 3.5 × 3.5 in, Circle 3.5 in round. All ⅞ in tall. A standard bar fits the Rectangle with room to spare.

Can I mix shapes in a bundle?

Yes. When you pick Buy 2, Get 1 Free or Buy 3, Get 2 Free, choose a shape for each dish. Two rectangles and a square is fine.

How do I care for it?

Rinse under warm water when you clean the sink and let it air dry. Don't soak it or put it in the dishwasher.
